Colorful, with fringes, with pom-poms, purified, ethnic, bohemian, gypsy, there are all sorts of clutches for every taste. This accessory can be worn as a shoulder or by hand, and its generally average size, allows to slip all its essentials (cell phone, wallet, keys and cosmetics) without being too charged.

Adopted with a classic and sober look (jeans and a white tee-shirt for example), it brings immediately a personal and stylish look to the outfit. Ideally in the evening or on special occasions (the puzzle of the wedding outfit is well known ...), the ethnic pouch is essential to finish a bohemian look without being cluttered with a bag a little too big for the occasion.

At Gaïora´s, we also give in to the ethnic clutches´, and we selected from our artisans of the world, several unique models that will make all the difference this summer.

Most of our pouches are handcrafted in Thailand, in the Chiang Mai region, by women belonging to the hill tribes (Hmong, Akha and Karen). Unlike pouches you can find everywhere, our clutches are 100% handmade, support fair trade and thus, a fair retribution of our craftsmen.

The colorful patterns in our clutches are inspired by local embroidery, as the northern region of Thailand is renowned worldwide for its beautiful traditional embroidered garments, which are hand sewn by expert embroiderers. Flowers, animals and other subjects of nature are often represented on these embroideries because they embody elements of the daily life of these craftsmen.

Does not an object become unique when one knows the history behind it and the person at the origin of its creation?

Our artisan ethnic clutches are already adopted by influential international bloggers: Anna Mavridis, author of the blog Vavavoom, has fallen for the AMAYA pouch and its red pompoms as well as the SUMMER pouch, which smells summer and seaside.
